Hair removal
Pulsed Light
A flash of a specific band of light over the treatment area targets the melanin in the hair shaft and converted to heat. The combined energy of heat and light travel down the hair shaft and disable the hair follicle so that it is no longer able to produce hair. Once a hair follicle is disabled, it will never produce hair again.
Electrolysis
Electrolysis is the art of permanent hair removal. A low-intensity current is applied through a sterile probe to destroy the hair follicle. Electrolysis is the only FDA and AMA approved method of permanent hair removal. Electrolysis can be performed safely on all parts of the body. A series of treatments are necessary. Chez Sylva offers three methods of Electrolysis

Threading
Chez Sylva uses pure, thin, twisted cotton thread which is rolled the hair to be removed. Unlike plucking or tweezing where a single hair is pulled out each time, threading can remove an entire row of hair.
